It is easy to pidgeon-hole your sixth sense beliefs into Sunday Morning prayers, or displace them upon some Church Leader. It is even easy, but not perhaps as easy, to project them onto Mediums and Psychics. But the realm of sixth sense experiences remain “super-natural” in our cultures, and therefore not worthy of entrance to our “daily realistic lives”. Psychologically, the need to be Yourself is well known, but any discussions and goals about what that Self is are limited in their models.
Here are a few science fiction scenarios to blow your mind a little, so that your sixth sense experiences don’t seem very frightening at all afterwards.
1. A recent article revealed that Robots have now been created that can ‘eat’ food, thereby modulating their own refueling, or ‘living’ ability. When the human biology is broken down to its parts it isn’t a far reach to consider the possibility that each of us are no more than well constructed robots, learning how to self regulate and evolve our own programs.
2. Are you really alive? Or are you a dead ghost walking around? Is your life so meaningless that you have ceased learning? Maybe you even missed your own death?
3. If Buddhist philosophy were correct and taken to the final degree by timely meditation by all Beings, could we find that when we opened our eyes the World would have ceased to exist at all?
4. If the streets are turned to the blood of many, based on the decision of a Religious Power of the few, then is Humanity a term that has lost all significance? And if that is the case, couldn’t every law court in that country have a precedent for murder on Religious edicts? (I think they already do this don’t they?) The jails would be empty. And would one option be simply to replace the Religion itself with something that is kinder to Humanity? (Oh. We tried that didn’t we?) Imagine no Religion. Will Humanity return when Religion is abolished?
5. Advertising shapes children’s and adults’ minds because it uses the modalities in a focused, non-negotiable way. Religion does the same. Can any nation grow to value Human Beings if it “teaches” Religious doctrine?
6. Women and Men are equal but different. How can Humanity survive the continued torture of women and the embarrassing animalisation of men to enable the castrated few to rule?
7. If our sixth sense experiences were ‘sanctioned’ and discussed more how would the extension of Life itself add to the inherent Value of every Human Being?
8. If the Value of Human Beings was the Primary Reason for Life Itself, then what would Humans do if causing starvation, poverty and death to other Human Beings (lawfully or otherwise) just wasn’t an option for any of us? And would anyone need a “higher power” than Love and Value of each other then?
9. When we find out that death is not the end will we be more interested in evolving rather than destroying? When we find out that there is no-one who will ‘forgive’ us our murderous actions will we stop murdering for insane non-cogent Religious argument, or monetary systems that can be fixed, or any of the other backward ideas of those whose brain capacities have frozen in sub-human states?
I hope you enjoyed my fantasy. Claud Levi-Strauss said that we need to intellectualise more, not less, in order to find answers. Are the systems of the world, be they religious, political or monetary simply just examples of sloppy lazy thinking, where it is easier to force beliefs onto the masses through advertising and religious repetitive doctrines rather than evolve our creative sparks????

Maybe even the kids who destroy themselves with lazy drug taking escapism and violence will succumb to the most exciting game of it all – Life!
