Each one of us has what is referred to as a “Scout Planet”. This is the planet that is closest to your Sun, in an anti-clockwise direction. That is, if you look at your astrology chart and see your Sun at 20 degrees of Leo say, and your Mercury is at 18 degrees of Leo, with nothing between your Mercury and your Sun, then Mercury is referred to as your “Scout Planet”.
Ways to access your Astrology charts
1. Have an astrologer map one for you.
2. Access one on-line. www.astrology.com offers a free cart wheel with their free sample readings.
Your Scout Planet is the lens through which you travel through your life. When you discover your Scout Planet you can also discover your perspective on things. For example, if Venus is your scout planet then looking for the ‘Value’ of things will be a constant theme in your life. You may want to ‘value’ everyone, and when you meet those who seem hurtful of others, instead of hating or fighting you may want to first try to see their point of view. This is simplistic. In order to discover an enormous amount of information about yourself finding out your Scout Planet is great! Edcar Cayce (referred to as “the sleeping profit”) thought that our Scout Planets were those planets upon which we had our most recent “soujourn” or visit. Once you know what your Scout Planet is on your Chart, start reading about it.
An excellent Astrologer and Psychologist (Psychological Astrologer), Liz Greene, has written some great books on each planet from a psychological perspective. This perspective appeals to many of us as we are usually very able to relate to the planets when they are introduced to us in this way. You can access books from most bookstores.
I’ve written a lot about each planet on my Venusian Astrology site. There will also be a Venusian Astrology section in every Chakra Spinach newsletter.
