So many subjects to study in Life. So many different methods and techniques to make our Lives work better for Us. When things are not right do we simply scour the internet and pick and try different things in a never ending search for Truth and ‘fix me ups’? In the wonderful Age of the internet there are many chances to gain access to information faster than ever before possible. There are also many more chances that the mass of information itself might mean that although our choices are so numerous they may not necessarily be the right ones for us. So this morning I thought I might share some of my own thoughts about the possibility of putting together a “Me – 101″ for all of us to be able to refer to when we need it. Everyone is familiar with FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions); and TROUBLE SHOOTING (challenge/solution lists, often published with operating manuals. The following is just a little list of references I put together that includes some esoteric answers alongside more mainstream ones. This list is by no means difinitive and will no doubt be added to either because, not currently being in need myself I have not thought of things that should be on this list, or I simply have not heard of others yet, or they are yet to be created! (Which leaves you open to start creating and submitting some contenders for this list too!)
1. You are feeling crazy and can’t keep focus. Maybe there are tears.
Just a few possibilities
a. Check your vitamin and mineral levels. Feelings of distortion are a common symptom of a lack of iron or some other necessary mineral or vitamin in your diet. And sometimes even if you take enough absorption may be an issue. Ask your doctor to check your levels.
b. Have you any clear goals to which you can move towards? Sometimes when we reach some of our goals but have none in our immediate future we understandably go into a ‘research mode’ where any information may be thought of as ‘valuable’ to us in our search for the next goal post. A good start is to start with your Values. Check the NLP section of this website.
c. Break down the feelings and situations. Observe yourself. Check out the times and types of feelings and even the people connected with those feelings. What you are looking for here is Astrological information. Astrology is really useful when it comes to accurately checking your current position and those energies that surround you. d. A more esoteric possibility is that your feelings may be distorted due to outside energies. We all pick up energy from others just like our bodies pick up debris that we shower off daily. Try a simple crystal cleanse shown on this website or book a chakra cleansing.
2. You have a clear purpose in mind but you keep sabotaging yourself
a. In NLP there is a technique called ‘Parts Therapy’. It is so easy anyone can do it for themselves but it often helps if someone assists you so that you can get into the energy of what you are doing without distraction. Crudely, the process is to put the part of you that wants the goal into your Right hand and the part that is sabotaging you into your Left hand. One at a time get to know these parts intimately. Just as if you were mediating between two people who disagreed you begin to search for the common intent of each of these. This common intent is ALWAYS YOU! All your own parts want what is BEST for you. They just get confused about which decisions are the best and often disagree.
b. Check your Astrology Transits. Often the obstacles you are facing while moving towards your goal are ones you NEED to face in order for your journey to be completed. It is rare that we can pre-empt all occurrences or those attributes that we will need to accomplish what we need. There are some things that only experience can help us attain. Often your chart can point to the inclusive nature of what you are trying to achieve and at least reveal those energies that you may currently be considering as sabotaging you. In fact they may actually be aiding your accomplishments, even though they look like they are delaying them currently. Take a different perspective by moving outside the situation. Venusian Astrology allows you to look at the whole in context. Then you are better equipped to move back into the situation and deal with what is in front of you. As in most things we usually just need a perspective shift. Our cognition is trained to include some things and exclude others, depending upon the context we place the focus under. Astrology helps to broaden this focus to enable the shift to take place comfortably, due to the higher logic this method offers.
c. Have a psychic reading. Sometimes this is a great way to check out your environment during this time. Who is around you? Where are you? Sometimes you may need to be with the right energies. There are books and books written about how important it is to surround yourself with the right people when on your quest. Your Team support matters. Energy drainers are not usually there to assist your growth and they can obstruct you from your mission. When I coinned the title Venusian Astrology I did so to place it in a humanist context which values human beings, including our differences. Chakra Spinach psychic readings are based on a similar philosophy. People who drain you are not bad people. They just do not, at this point in time, support your movement in a particular direction. There is an edict in Magick that defines sacrifice as temporary and healthy, that is if you choose one thing today then you need to acknowledge the sacrifice of ‘not choosing’ something which conflicts. This does not mean that you have chosen to lose that thing or person forever, as long as you are honest with yourself and with them. Life is about choices. Energies are not always from living people. 3. You are not sabotaging yourself but you still can’t seem to get to where you want to be
a. Since the beginning of time humans have asked the question: Who Am I? What is the Nature of Reality? We continue to ask these questions today, and as large as these might seem they are fundamental to everything we choose to Be in our Lives. Life is always more than we think it is. Sometimes the best answers come from words we have not heard yet. Education is usually the key to fulfilling what you want in the field you want to fill. Some of the most amazing times in my life have been found in the covers of texts taken from University shelves in Arts Faculties. Discovering that those who have built reputations for themselves have shared the same questions and journeys as you have gives you permission to shine too, (putting Nelson Mandala’s quote of Williams into living perspective). CONFIDENCE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN THE UNIVERSE. One way you are reminded of your own worth is when you find common ground with those whose worth you do acknowledge. We are all in this together. It doesn’t matter where you come from or where you live, your contribution is vital to all of Us. Anthropologists know the value of “Local Knowledge”. I may have found some great moments in books but you may have found yours in your travels, or your upbringing by walking in the steps where others have been, or by noticing something in your environment that clarified things for you with moments of lightening bolt understanding. These things put us in the zone of who we are. We find ourselves in the present, but a present that encompasses all that went before and all the potential of what lies ahead. Here we find our confidence and all that is left then is to steer our lives where we choose.
