I have written a lot about all of the planets on my Venusian Astrology site that you can link to from this site, but it is also helpful to offer lots of instances where the energies of the planets reveal themselves. This brings Astrology to Life and makes it truly useful for us.
Featured today is, paradoxically, a little about a couple of big key planets for each of us. These two planets are easily recognizable in our lives but fast moving enough to reveal real time issues about the ways we live. Let me give you a few examples:
Jupiter is a big jolly benevolent planet. So all the astrology books tell us. And it is! If you are happy then you are ecstatic under Jupiter’s influences. Now put Jupiter in aspect to your Mercury (how we speak and think). There will always be ‘big’ ideas with this combination, and a lot of talking about these big ideas. Jupiter comes with its own moving vehicle too (active pillar Kabbalah) to turn these ideas into Realtiy. If Mars is involved, or Mercury/Jupiter affect ‘movable’ signs then the speed of activity to bring these big ideas to fruition will multiply! But what about those times we get those brilliant Jupiterian ideas that convince us we can change the world only to find the following week the obstacles are up like automated car stops blocking our path? Firstly, these blocks have nothing to do with Jupiter’s nature, they have plenty to do with understanding how to work with Jupiter.

Jupiter - Active Emotion, Heart Chakra, Big Happy!
Jupiter is just energy. Its energetic influence on us correlates with positive outlook, big breakthroughs and great parties! In the 12th House Jupiter is the Angel at your side, protecting you from everything – why? Because through Jupiter you attract Love, Hope, Opportunities, Ideas.
In the 5th House you might attract a large family! In the 6th House lots of work may come your way. In the 9th House Jupiter is at home and travel will be prominent in your Lifestyle. But what happens if you have Jupiter in any of these houses and these things have not eventuated, even though you’d love them to? What’s going on with this stuff called Astrology?
You know how some people just hit on the right idea and make themselves an overnight success? Jupiter will be laughing all the way to the bank for them. So how come you aren’t? Every one of us has Jupiter in our Charts somewhere.
If all you had was Jupiter then you’d be unstoppable in that area of your life. But the ways this area might manifest may not be as wonderful as you might imagine. Let’s say you have Jupiter in the 6th House (Virgo’s house) and you want to heal people. So your work choice may be to become a Doctor. What would happen if you partied all through university and just passed? What sort of Doctor do you think you might be and how much satisfaction do you think you might actually get from your chosen work? Which brings us to our next Planet – Saturn.
Saturn, according to historical texts, is Satan – stern, pain-giving, obtacle mounting, slowing down your every move towards your goals, lord of the world, harbinger of hardship whatever the context. Whew! Actually, Saturn makes life worth living. Saturn brings depth to our efforts by teaching us that creativity is more than a great idea, that bringing something into the world, into form, is part our doing and part the life of that which we create. This last part is all telling. It isn’t just about what we want when we create. What we create takes on its own form and becomes itself through systematic processes required for it to come about into Reality. Reality does have some rules of engagement. Anyone who has ever been successful will tell you that once you understand the process it becomes a lot easier. There is always a process. If you want to bring a Play to Life then you need words, set out in certain ways, and Actors to perform those words. You need settings. You finally need an audience. us
Jupiter will give you the zing and ideas to lead you to create, the propulsion of turbo engines igniting so that your whole being is passionate about the creation. But Saturn will teach you how to birth. Saturn will make you feel sick if the baby you are carrying needs you to eat something more nuitritional! Get it? ed

Saturn - connecting to Form Creation - Teacher
Saturn is a Teacher. Sometimes understanding that our creations are part us and part themselves allows us to appreciate Saturn more. If the Saturn energy we attract feels like an obstacle then there is something to learn. Learn, and the obstacle will be released.
The Doctor, above, may have deep rumblings about being the one to break through the barriers of a certain disease. In order to be that person there are things he or she must understand and work with.
When we move from the ‘technical’ to the ‘intuitive knowing’ about creating what we want to create we tap in with some expertise that is greater than the sum of the parts we have learned. This usually comes after we have painstakingly studied the nuances and inputs from all parts of the matter we are studying. When we have done our jobs right, Saturn will release the gates. This can happen at any stage of the creation. The form or will of the universe that participates in the making of our creation alive and real becomes available to us at this point. We have ‘birthed’ our creation and now it has a Life of its own.
As we read our mundane astrological meanings about Jupiter and Saturn it helps to understand where these planets are in our own charts and how they are interplaying in the house in which we are seeking to create.

Venusian Astrology has as its foundation the fundamental Value of Human Beings first.
A key learning in Venusian Astrology is Compassion. Be warned, once you understand your own astrology it is almost impossible for you to expect others to have the same wants and ideas for Life as yourself. Therefore, Saturn’s boundaries become known to you. At first this may seem like a limit. Eventually you will realise these limits as precious vital information for your own life’s work.
